In Case You Missed It - News and Tidbits - August 22

Here are some news and tidbit items from this week in gospel music -
  • Mark Trammell Quartet named Blake Buffin as the group's new tenor singer. He had been filling in for the past several weeks after Dustin Black's departure.
  • Gold City also named its new tenor, Thomas Nalley. He has most recently been tenor for the LeFevre Quartet.
  • Tom Armshaw, Southern gospel promoter and broadcaster, suffered a fatal heart attack on Tuesday, August 18, 2015. He launched the Southern Gospel music format on WPET which is still a Southern gospel station. He was also a past member of the GMA board. Please pray for his wife Vicki.
  • Claude was released from the hospital this week. All of his motor skills and brain activity are at 100%. He speaks in complete sentences, but sometimes struggles to find the final words, so he will undergo some speech therapy.
Anything I've missed?
