In Case You Missed It - News and Tidbits - August 8

Here are some news and tidbit items from this week in Southern Gospel music -

  • Jeff Hawes announced in a video released Sunday that he will be leaving Karen Peck and New River. He's going back to work in education in his hometown.
  • George Shelton, Jr. will be leaving the Dixie Echoes after the National Quartet Convention. 
  • Congratulations to Scotty and Kasey Inman who welcomed a baby boy this week. Bo Clayton was born on Tuesday and weighed 9 lbs. and 10 oz. 
  • Prayers requested for Randy and his wife Linda Barnes (2nd Generation). Linda has been diagnosed with lymphoma. Further tests will determine the stage of the cancer, and then a treatment plan will be developed.
  • Matt Fouch's latest On the Couch with Fouch interview features Gerald Wolfe. Check out part 1 and part 2 on YouTube.
  • Les Butler is returning to radio with three different hour-long, weekly radio shows. Learn more about his new ventures here.
