Here are news items from this week in gospel music -


  • Ed Harper will receive the Lifetime Acheivement Honor from the Southern Gospel Music Guild this month at the National Quartet Convention. He is the president of the Harper Agency, one of the top booking agents in Southern Gospel.
  • Allegiance Trio announced that the single, “I Will Stand” is headed to the silver screen. The song is featured as part of the movie I Will Stand scheduled to premier next week.
  • Last Sunday Jeff Chapman had heart surgery and three stents placed. He is now home recovering but please keep him in your prayers.
