In Case You Missed It - News and Tidbits - July 4

Here are some news and tidbit items from this week in gospel music -


  • Luke White passed away on Sunday after battling double pneumonia. He most recently worked for IMC Concerts and previously worked with Aaron and Amanda Crabb and the Greenes. Read more here.
  • Congratulations to Keith Erwin who wed Lindsey Barefield on June 13 in Ripley, Mississippi. Lindsey plans to join the family on the bus while working on her Master's degree. 
  • Spoken 4 Quartet announced this week on Facebook that Brian Arnold will be joining the ministry. Baritone Steven Hickinbotham is no longer with the group. Brian has been traveling in a solo ministry for many years and was previously with the group Chosen Few.
  • Prayers requested for Carolyn Kirksey, wife of former Singing News editor-in-chief Jerry Kirksey. She has been undergoing medical treatment and in-patient physical therapy since February. 
  • The 2015 Absolutely Gospel Music Awards show is now available to watch online. You can watch the replay here
