In Case You Missed It - News and Tidbit - January 10

Here are some news items from this week in gospel music -

  • Gospel music legend Andrae Crouch passed away on January 8 at age 72. He had a heart attack on Jan. 3 and had complications that followed. He wrote many gospel favorites including "My Tribute" and "The Blood Will Never Lose Its Power."
  • AbsolutelyGospel.com announced that it will host its annual awards on Tuesday, April 14. Here's a full release on the awards. Nominations are now open for fan favorite artist. A full list of nominees will be released on Monday, January 20.
  • Libbi Perry Stuffle had another light heart attack this week. The stent doctors put in in July was clogged, but they were able to replace it. They also found a smaller place that was narrowing, so they went ahead and put a stent in it as well. The heart attack did no damage to her heart. Continue to remember them in your prayers.
  • The Nelons have had a lot of bus trouble recently including a small fire this week. They have a GoFundMe account set up to help with expenses in rebuilding their engine. Any help you can give would be appreciated!
Anything I've missed?
