In Case You Missed It - News and Tidbits - May 21

Here are a few news and tidbits from this week in Southern Gospel music -

  • The Harper Agency has added Mark Lowry to its roster of artists for booking.
  • Prayers requested for Christy Hinson. Weston and Christy Hinson shared via a Facebook video that Christy has been diagnosed with thyroid cancer. Doctors believe they have caught it early. Pray for Christy and her doctors as they take the next steps for treatment.
  • The Browders celebrated six #1 singles from their album Time Machine. With their latest #1 in April, "Waiting for You To Get Home," they are the only artist in Southern Gospel to have this many #1 songs from the same album.
  • The Steeles announced a change for their ministry this week. Their son Brad will now join them as the third vocalist. Matthew Thompson is coming off the road to spend more time with his family and to dedicate more time to his business, Thompson Renovations. Brad also serves as the music and worship pastor at their church.
Anything I've missed?
