Carolyn Kirksey Passes Away

Carolyn Kirksey, wife of former Singing News editor-in-chief Jerry Kirksey, passed away on July 13, 2015. She was the wife of Jerry Kirksey, who served as the editor for the Singing News for many decades. She also wrote a monthly cooking column in the Singing News and published the Singing News cookbook "For the Love of Cooking."

Please remember the family in your thoughts and prayers during this time. She's survived by her husband Jerry, sons Kenneth and Brett, daughter-in-law Deborah and several extended family members.

Carolyn was recently diagnosed with liver disease. She had been in an extended care physical therapy facility but was transferred to a medical center in Boone, North Carolina earlier this month.
